Mastering Rhetoric #2: Repetitive sentences

A great rhetorical device is to use three sentences which repeat their opening clause.

Repetition conveys excitement. Repetition implies importance. Repetition reinforces the message.

You may be familiar with this famous example:

or 

I love this company, I love the people who work here, I love the customers we serve 

When we are passionate about something, we naturally repeat ourselves as a means of conveying our emotion.  In the same way, repetition during our speech will sound like passion to our audience and the strength of our belief will influence them to agree with is.

Our passion will inspire them. Our passion will enthuse them. Our passion will persuade them.
